Marcus Lewis will present a set of his big band compositions on Thursday, March 23rd, at Shapeshifter Lab (18 Whitwell Place) in Brooklyn. There is a $10 cover charge at the door for this double bill night. Ethan Helm and his quartet are on at 7pm, and Marcus’ Big Band, including myself, will take the stage at 8:15pm. I am so excited to be a part of this night of music, and hope you can join us.
My trio will be appearing at the Dead Poet (450 Amsterdam Avenue) on Tuesday November 1st as part of their “Lamplight Sessions” live music series. With Jeff Koch on bass and Austin Walker on drums, from 7:30-9:30pm.
I will be in Omaha on saturday, October 8th to perform at the Harney Street Tavern (1215 Harney St.) starting at 9pm. Joining me will be Marcus Lewis on trombone, Eric Hitt on bass, Jacob Philips on guitar, and John Evans on drums.

I will be headed to South Dakota State University in Brookings, SD on October 7th to give an evening concert as a guest of the SDSU Music Department. Joining me will be Marcus Lewis on trombone, Mitch Towne on organ, and John Evans on drums.
I am looking forward to returning to Cornelia St. Cafe with my quintet next month. We will be presenting a set of new compositions on Tuesday July 19th, at 9:30pm. Joining me for the evening will be Andrew Gould on saxophone, Broc Hempel on piano, Lauren Falls on bass, and Austin Walker on drums. $10 cover and $10 minimum.
2015 was an interesting year, with shows around New York, a trip to Afghanistan, and a midwest tour. 2016 is shaping up to be a busy one as well, with shows coming up this summer around the New York area as well as another midwest tour later this year. Check back soon for all the details!
I will be joining Black Atlas on Friday April 22nd for their homecoming show in Greenpoint Brooklyn at Saint Vitus. They are finishing up a lengthy tour including a run of shows at SXSW. Show starts at 8pm with three opening bands, $10 cover.

I will be back at the Cornelia Street Cafe next month for a set of new music on Wednesday October 14th, at 9:30pm. Andrew Gould, Isaac Darche, Or Bareket, and Christian Coleman will be joining me for the evening. I’m happy to share the night with John Raymond, his quartet will start the night off at 8pm.
